One of the most common responses we get to our content is “I can't believe this is free” or “I learned more from this one video than I did attending 4 years at University.” We're delighted to read these comments, but it also makes us wonder, why people are content to pay for something that doesn't materially impact their lives.
Reality is, the content we produce isn't free. We employ over 15 people to help us write, produce, edit, transcribe, translate and distribute content. That's not to mention accounting, finance, customer support, and other behind these scenes operations. It takes a tremendous amount of effort, skill, craft and resources (human, capital, intellectual and technical) to pull off what we're doing. One of our most beloved series, "Building A Brand", took almost half a year to produce and an estimated $200k to complete. Why am I telling you this? Well, the content isn't free. It costs money to make. A lot of it. We just elect to give it away for free. Why would we voluntarily do this?
The Futur needs you. We have a radical idea—give away as much as we can for as little as we can. We believe in democratizing education—something that works for everyone regardless of where you live, or how many zeroes are in your bank account. The only way we can do this is to have everyone chip in a little.
